Remuneration:

Compensation package:
TMILL
believes that managerial remuneration is an important instrument in
attracting and retaining talent and is a key component of the

performance linked increments and bonus system are revised from time to

Union Management Interface:
Harmonious
Relationship exists between the Unions & Management and exchange of best
practices between the staffs of the two ports takes place regularly. To
take care of each operating unit, Joint Development Council has been
formed and meetings are held every month at respective unit level. The
company takes due care in improving skill sets of its unionized members
through various schemes and training programmes. For example, union
office bearers from Kolkata & Port locations were sponsored by the
company to attend a Commonwealth program conducted by Confederation of
Indian Industry (CII) in New Delhi on sustainable developments sponsored
by the company. Representative of the Union regularly take part in
training organized by Gandhi Labour Foundation, Puri and SNTI and other
professional bodies for the purpose of skill development.
Corporate Social
responsibility:
Following the Tata
group philosophy, TMILL group is also involved in activities which have
potential of uplifting the quality of life of people. Our regular
programme of organising screening Camp for free Reconstructive Surgery
for Cleft Lip & Palate, free health check-up camps, blood donation camps
near the vicinity of ports and distribution of relief material and
medicines at areas adjacent to our establishments ravaged by natural
calamities , construction of public facilities e.g waiting room for
parents of school children are few examples where the organization
contributes its bit with full humility and gratitude to the society.
