TMILL is the Tata Group’s venture into the logistics industry. After a lot of thinking, it was decided that there is a need to have a company that can provide end-to-end logistics solutions to all participants of the international trade.

TMILL’s roots are in one of the most venerable economic activities transcending national and geographic borders: trading with those at a distance via commerce on the sea -- literally, "shipping." TMILL started off with its own berth at Haldia and highly advanced port management services at both Haldia and Paradip. In a very short span of time the company has grown to acquire the various components to complete the value chain of the logistics business. And so today, our business is assisting retailers, manufacturers and our other customers to manage their own supply chains in whole. The goal is to contribute to the customer’s balance sheet by being more proactive in managing the supply chain, providing time-definite delivery and end-to-end visibility and control. One way retailers will boost sales and increase revenues is by avoiding markdowns associated with late merchandise.

The aim of TMILL is to grow into a world class company in order to become a participant of the customer’s supply chain.
