A larger warehousing facility of 63,000 square metres is being developed to enhance services further. The master plan envisages a combination of open as well as covered warehouses with railway siding facility capable of accommodating two full-length railway rakes simultaneously. On its completion, berth #12 will have significant augmentation in capacity in terms of handling and storage of voluminous and over dimensional project cargo. This will significantly reduce waiting time for ships with project cargo on board. A part of this facility has been completed and is currently being used for handling bulk cargo and project cargo.
